Our courses are offered in two types: four three-hour classes over a two-week period and one four-hour workshop on a weekend day. Weekday classes are offered in both the morning and evening. The exact location of each course will be emailed to participants after registration.

Actors who complete our four day courses and show excellent achievement are invited to join American Immersion Theater’s Los Angeles troupe. Offers for placement in troupe are delivered at the discretion of the course instructor.

Meet the AIT School Co-Founders

Scott Cramton

Meet Scott Cramton, Founder and CEO of American Immersion Theater is widely known as “The Maverick of Immersive Theater”. A veteran in the immersion industry, Scott has been involved in the rapidly growing movement since 2002. American Immersion Theater has founded multiple immersive companies such as The Murder Mystery Company, The Princess Party Company, Famous for a Day, and Camp Dragon Online.

Born in Detroit, MI with a severe cleft palate, Scott was told by speech therapists that he could be anything he wanted to be, as long as it wasn’t an actor. Since then he has performed in over 1,000 immersive theatrical performances and been on numerous televised immersive events such as Impractical Jokers and The Real Housewives of Dallas.

Amber Lawson

Meet Amber Lawson, immersive theater extraordinaire. Amber has nearly 15 years of experience in the immersive theater scene, performing over 1000 shows as an actor, director, dancer, and writer; and now creating the curriculum for the American Immersion Theater School.

Proudly hailing from Detroit, MI, her journey into immersive acting began in college when she took a casual gig with The Murder Mystery Company, where she quickly found herself taking the reins as the first Assistant Director for the company. Following her passion for performance, Amber ventured to Los Angeles, establishing herself as the Los Angeles Director for American Immersion Theater with a team of actors that would go on to shape the immersive theater landscape. From performing on Off-Broadway stages to captivating audiences from the comfort of their living rooms, Amber brings a down-to-earth yet impactful touch to the immersive theater experience and her acting coaching.
